Do you enjoy bringing stories alive? Love to share facts and transport people to the past? This may be the role for you!

The 1620s House & Garden is a surviving example of a Medieval Manor and is furnished and displayed in early 17th century style. We are open Thursday - Sunday 10.30am - 4.30pm from April to October for special events and booked groups on other dates during the year.

We will work with you to accommodate your preferences and availability.

We will provide you with an induction & training to ensure you feel happy, safe and confident in your role.

Count on our Heritage Volunteering Officer to be your point of contact throughout your volunteering journey.

We can support you with Wellness Action Plans and/or Goal Setting Plans to discuss any physical, mental health or vocational needs or goals.

Volunteering can help you to gain new skills, boost your confidence, make new friends, and feel connected to a community of people. It is rewarding to be part of a network of people so passionate about Heritage and History. You can create wonderful experiences together. We'll provide you with hot drinks, trips and thank you events and travel expenses.
